I'm a storyteller. My lens is my pen, and every couple I capture is a new chapter. Recently, I had the distinct honor of being part of Jojuan and Bri's story. They celebrated eight beautiful years of marriage, and I was there to freeze their timeless moment in a frame. The Columbus Art Museum, a stunning backdrop for this milestone, was our canvas for the day. As we wandered through the exquisite halls, the couple's love story unfolded before me. Jojuan and Bri, stylish and graceful, radiated a love that was palpable. As a husband, I understand the depth of these moments. That feeling of looking at your partner and realizing how far you've journeyed together, the shared laughter, the hurdles overcome, the private jokes, the silent understanding, and the dreams for tomorrow. This understanding guides me as a photographer. I aim to capture the essence of the couple's unity, their shared love story. As I watched Jojuan and Bri, I saw the same unity that I feel with my wife. I saw the love that binds them together. It was a privilege to encapsulate their love story through my lens. But capturing moments like these is more than just a job for me. It's a passion that stems from my love for storytelling. With a communication degree from the University of Toledo, I've learned to tell stories in a unique way. And for me, every photo is a story waiting to be told.Away from my camera, I'm a family man, a sports lover, and a die-hard fan of action movies and 'Breaking Bad.' I also work as a control room operator and cameraman for the Cincinnati Reds MLB team. But at the heart of it all, I'm a storyteller, capturing life's most precious moments, one frame at a time.Jojuan and Bri's anniversary reminded me once again why I love what I do. It's about capturing love, about freezing moments of unity and celebration. It's about telling a love story through my lens. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

A Timeless Moment: Capturing Jojuan & Bri's Love at the Columbus Art Museum

It's not every day that you come across a bond as strong as the one shared by A'kara and Brandon. Their wedding was one of those events that, if you know, you know. This couple was a pleasure to work with, and having the chance to encapsulate their love story through my lens was a privilege that I cherish.I first met A'kara at the wedding of mutual friends. We were both part of the wedding party, and this gave me an opportunity to know her and Brandon better. Their story was compelling, their backgrounds intriguing. When they asked me to capture their big day, it didn't take a second thought to say yes. After all, what's more special than freezing in time the most beautiful moments of a couple's life? The day of the wedding was filled with laughter, joy, and an overwhelming sense of happiness. A'kara's dress was a sight to behold, as was Brandon's tailor-made suit. The detail that stood out the most was the engraving of his initials inside his jacket - a personal touch that showed the thoughtfulness put into every element of their day.But the highlight of the day? That had to be when Brandon serenaded A'kara as she walked down the aisle. The song, 'Me for You' by Johnny Gill, echoed throughout the venue, adding a layer of emotion that was palpable to everyone present. I had the honor of capturing this in a recap video, which I believe encapsulates the magic of their union perfectly. As I look back at this event, I can't help but feel a sense of fulfillment. Capturing a couple's love story, especially one as unique as A'kara and Brandon's, is a responsibility I don't take lightly. I am grateful for the trust they placed in me, and I hope the images and videos I captured will serve as a beautiful reminder of their special day for years to come.

The Unforgettable Union: A'kara and Brandon's Wedding

Howdy! I'm excited to share the story of a recent photoshoot that was a little bit country, a little bit wild west, and whole lot of fun. It's about two folks named Taylor and Josh, and the day we turned a slice of Ohio into our personal Yellowstone. The idea for this shoot came from Taylor and Josh themselves. They're big fans of the show Yellowstone and wanted to channel their inner cowboy and cowgirl for the session. And oh boy, did they nail it! We were lucky enough to get access to a friend of a friend's land, about an hour outside of Cincinnati. The property was perfect - horses, fields, and that undeniable country vibe. It was like we'd stepped onto the set of a western, right here in Ohio. Now, as a photographer, my role is to capture the essence of the moment. And with Taylor and Josh embodying the cowboy spirit so authentically, my job was made easy. They were natural in front of the camera, their love for each other and the theme shining through in every shot. The result? Well, I couldn't be happier. The country setting, coupled with Taylor and Josh's commitment to the theme, made for some truly stunning images. There was laughter, there were horses, and there was a lot of love. This photoshoot was a reminder of why I love what I do. It's not just about taking pictures. It's about capturing moments, telling stories, and bringing visions to life. And when you get to do all that in cowboy boots? Well, that's just the cherry on top.So to Taylor and Josh, thank you for entrusting me with your vision. And to all you future brides and grooms out there - don't be afraid to get creative with your photoshoots! Whether you're channeling your inner cowboy, princess, superhero, or anything in between, I'm here to help make your dream a reality.Remember, folks - cowboys may live forever, but so do the memories we make.

The Cowboy Spirit: A Photoshoot Adventure in Cincinnati

As a photographer, I have an immense appreciation for the diverse subjects and styles that I get to capture. In the past year, my lens has been graced with numerous men in suits, all impeccably groomed and exuding a unique charisma. It's about time I devote some attention to these dapper gents, and I'm here to share my journey in capturing men's style. From weddings to portrait sessions, my photography isn't just about the event or the setting. It's about the people. It's about the stories that unfold in front of my camera. Through my lens, I've learned that men's style isn't just about a well-tailored suit. It's about the confidence with which it's worn, the way it's styled, and the personality that shines through. What I love about photographing men in suits is the variety it offers. Whether it's a three-piece suit for a wedding, a smart business suit for a professional portrait, or a casual suit for a relaxed photo session, each outfit tells a different story. A suit doesn't just express style; it carries a sense of occasion, of purpose, of identity. In my photography journey, I've had the privilege of capturing many such stories. Some are tales of joy, like the groom eagerly waiting for his bride. Some are stories of triumph, like the entrepreneur celebrating his startup's success. Some are narratives of transition, like the college graduate stepping into the professional world. Each story is unique, just like the men wearing the suits. As a photographer, I see my role as not just capturing these moments but also enhancing them. The right angle, the perfect lighting, the ideal setting - all these elements work together to transform a simple photograph into a piece of art. You see, photographing men in suits isn't just about creating pretty pictures. It's about showcasing the elegance of men's fashion, highlighting the individuality of each subject, and, most importantly, telling their stories. So, should I continue doing this? Well, the answer is a resounding yes.Because, in the end, it's not just about the suit. It's about the man in the suit, and the story he has to tell. And I, for one, can't wait to capture more of these stories. So here's to the men in suits, to their style, their strength, their stories. And here's to the art of capturing it all.

Celebrating Men's Style: The Art of Capturing the Dapper Gentleman

I'm sure you've wondered what a wedding looks like through my lens. Well, today, I pull back the curtain on one of my recent experiences, shooting the beautiful wedding of Andrew and Amanda at Birchwood Meadows in Swanton, Ohio. This venue, with its barn vibes and stunning aesthetic, was the perfect backdrop for their love story. I first met Andrew at his cousin Craig's wedding, an event my wife and I were capturing. Andrew, then a groomsman, struck me as an awesome guy. A year later, he and Amanda reached out to me, and the journey began. Our first shoot together was their engagement session. From that moment, I knew their wedding day would be nothing short of magical. And, let me tell you, I wasn't wrong. Amanda and her bridesmaids were the life of the party. They came with one goal in mind - to have fun. And that they did! Their enthusiasm and joy made my job easy and the day unforgettable. Now, you might be wondering about the Ray-Ban Metas I mentioned in my Instagram post. Those are my secret weapon. They allow me to capture the day from my perspective, giving a unique and personal touch to the photos. I feel incredibly thankful to Andrew and Amanda for letting me be part of their special day. It was a blast! Each wedding I photograph is a new adventure, a new story to tell. And this wedding? It was one for the books, a true testament to love and unity.I hope this post gives you a little insight into my world of wedding photography. Each wedding is a unique canvas and I am just the artist trying to capture it in the most beautiful way possible. I look forward to sharing more behind-the-scenes glimpses with you in the future. Until then, cheers to love and to the wonderful journey it brings!

Douglas and Kiara Crooms’ wedding at the Monastery was nothing short of spectacular. As personal friends of mine, it was truly an honor to be part of their special day and bring their vision to life.

The Monastery provided a breathtaking backdrop, with its grand architecture making every moment feel cinematic. The crisp, cold January air only added to the beauty of the day, creating a stunning winter atmosphere.

One of the standout elements of their wedding was the incredible food selection. They treated their guests to a buffet featuring a variety of dishes from different ethnic backgrounds—something I had never experienced before at a wedding. And as the night came to a close, they surprised everyone with a Skyline Chili bar, the ultimate Cincinnati staple, giving guests the perfect late-night snack to wrap up an unforgettable celebration.

Despite the cold, Douglas and Kiara embraced every moment, even stepping outside for breathtaking photos. Their wedding party was full of energy, making the entire day feel vibrant and alive.

It was a wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have played a role in bringing it all together. Congratulations to Douglas and Kiara!
Let me know if this one works or if you’d like another tweak!

"It was such a pleasure working with Darrien. As a person that normally is always in control and is very detail oriented, all that goes out the window when it's the day of the wedding. When my head was spinning, Darrien gave me peace of mind that he would get all the shots he needed and be on time, so it was one less thing for me to worry about. And he stood by his word, keeping us on track - plus I'm an awkwards subject sometimes, and he gave great creative direction to make me feel beautiful and like a model. We had meetings prior to our wedding so he could get a sense of us as a couple and get an understanding of the vibe that we wanted to capture. He offered suggestions of what was traditionally done, found new and creative ways to showcase who we were, and was open and flexible with our requests. His professionalism and talent is outstanding but also who he is as a person - kind, smart, and fun - is just an added bonus. I can't say enough good things about working with him and would 10/10 recommend him to everyone that wants to perfectly capture their special day!"

You will find the about page from my existing website between the “” below. You can use this section primarily for tone of voice and style as opposed to content. Make sure that all references to the self are in the first person singular, as I am the only photographer on my team. Please also ensure that there are no references to “our team” or “our photographer”. Instead, all writing should be coming directly from me. I would also like it to be quite down to earth and without lots of fluff and flowery language.
