I'm sure you've wondered what a wedding looks like through my lens. Well, today, I pull back the curtain on one of my recent experiences, shooting the beautiful wedding of Andrew and Amanda at Birchwood Meadows in Swanton, Ohio. This venue, with its barn vibes and stunning aesthetic, was the perfect backdrop for their love story. I first met Andrew at his cousin Craig's wedding, an event my wife and I were capturing. Andrew, then a groomsman, struck me as an awesome guy. A year later, he and Amanda reached out to me, and the journey began.Our first shoot together was their engagement session. From that moment, I knew their wedding day would be nothing short of magical. And, let me tell you, I wasn't wrong. Amanda and her bridesmaids were the life of the party. They came with one goal in mind - to have fun. And that they did! Douglas and Kiara Crooms&rsquo; wedding at the Monastery was nothing short of spectacular. As personal friends of mine, it was truly an honor to be part of their special day and bring their vision to life.

The Monastery provided a breathtaking backdrop, with its grand architecture making every moment feel cinematic. The crisp, cold January air only added to the beauty of the day, creating a stunning winter atmosphere.

One of the standout elements of their wedding was the incredible food selection. They treated their guests to a buffet featuring a variety of dishes from different ethnic backgrounds&mdash;something I had never experienced before at a wedding. And as the night came to a close, they surprised everyone with a Skyline Chili bar, the ultimate Cincinnati staple, giving guests the perfect late-night snack to wrap up an unforgettable celebration.

Despite the cold, Douglas and Kiara embraced every moment, even stepping outside for breathtaking photos. Their wedding party was full of energy, making the entire day feel vibrant and alive.
